He got in awful trouble there and two horses came down in front of him and he stormed up the hill. We just kept him wide today and fitted blinkers and a tongue tie which did the trick plus he got a beautiful ride from a very good 7lb claimer. The Stewards requested a report from Miss Elizabeth Doyle, trainer as to the apparent improvement in form of Last Goodbye, placed first, as compared with its recent form. The trainer reported that this horse made a bad mistake four out last time out which ended his chance. Furthermore he was tried in a tongue tie for the first time today
Having considered the report the Stewards noted its contents
The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Hell's Kitchen (GB), trained by Harry Fry (in GB), at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be lame post race.
An extended handicap steeplechase for five yrs old and upwards Penalties - Winner of a steeplechase or steeplechases after calculation of the handicap shall carry any penalty or penalties which may be allotted by the Handicapper.
