The Stewards requested a report from Henry de Bromhead, trainer, as to the apparent improvement in form of Heron Heights, placed first, as compared with its recent form. The trainer reported that his charge had disappointed of late and felt a combination of a liking for the track having shown good form here in the past and a very strong ride in what he felt was a lesser race, may have brought about the apparent improvement in form.
