The Stewards received a report from Mr P.W. Murtagh, Turf Club Clerk of the Scales, stating that G.J. Phillips, rider of Megans Legacy, had attempted to weigh out with an unapproved body protector for this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who accepted that this was the case. Having considered the evidence, the Stewards were of the opinion that the rider was in breach of both Regulation 10 and Rule 198(v) and having considered his record, suspended him for seven race days. Furthermore, the Stewards referred the rider to Dr. Adrian McGoldrick, Senior Turf Club Medical Officer for a reassessment of his riding weight. . The Turf Club Veterinary Officer examined Tessonna, trained by David Wachman, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be lame post race.
