Permission was given for Angel Power (GB) to go early to post wearing a red hood and for Pretty Sweet (IRE) and Southern Voyage (FR) to wear a red hood to post.
Approaching 6 furlongs out, the winner, Pride Of Priory (GB), appeared to take a false step and became unbalanced causing Joanna Mason, the rider of Onesmoothoperator (USA), placed third, to take a slight check, but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved and that it had not improved the placing of Pride Of Priory (GB).
An enquiry was held to consider interference approximately 2 furlongs out when Charging Thunder (GB), placed second, ridden by Rene Piechulek, interfered with Celtic Art (FR), placed ninth, ridden by Takeshi Yokoyama.
Piechulek was suspended for 2 days for careless riding as he manoeuvred his mount sharply left-handed when insufficiently clear causing Yokoyama to take a check.
