Approaching the 7 furlong marker, Sid's Annie (GB), placed second, was hampered when tightened for room between a free running Copper Mountain (GB), placed fourth, which hung right-handed and Ladypacksapunch (GB), placed fifth, which edged slightly left-handed, but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved.
An enquiry was held to consider interference approximately 7 furlongs out involving the winner, Victoria Falls (IRE), ridden by Andrea Atzeni, Karatayka (IRE), placed third, ridden by Luke Morris and Copper Mountain (GB), placed fourth, ridden by Joanna Mason.
The interference was found to be accidental as a free running Victoria Falls (IRE) edged slightly left-handed away from Karatayka (IRE) causing Copper Mountain (GB) to be steadied when left short of room on the rail.
Following the race, Daniel Muscutt reported that Lucky Mascot (IRE), unplaced, hung left-handed under pressure, Kieran O’Neill reported that Ladypacksapunch (GB), placed fifth, hung left-handed and Hayley Turner reported that Sid's Annie (GB), placed second, was denied a clear run for some distance until inside the final furlong.
