Leaving the stalls, Probable (GB), unplaced, hung right-handed crowding Maddisonelle (GB), unplaced, onto Ok Pal (GB), unplaced, which was hampered and in turn inconvenienced Griggy (IRE), unplaced, but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved.
Entering the first bend, Starjik (GB), placed fifth, after being initially influenced by a hard pulling Probable (GB), unplaced, hung left-handed away from that runner crowding Shaka (GB), placed third, for room which in turn caused Wood Farm Wag (GB), placed fourth, to be checked, but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved.
Approximately 2½ furlongs out, the rider of Maddisonelle (GB), unplaced, had to take a check off the heels of a weakening Ok Pal (GB), unplaced, having been crowded inside Miss Calculation (IRE), unplaced, which hung left-handed despite its rider's best efforts to correct the mare, but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved.
Rounding the home bend, Griggy (IRE), unplaced, was shifted right-handed to avoid the heels of a rapidly weakening Probable (GB), unplaced, and bumped heavily with Hawajes (IRE), unplaced, which was forced wider and a short distance later clipped the heels of Wood Farm Wag (GB), placed fourth, almost falling in the process, but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved.
Following the race, David Probert reported that Griggy (IRE), unplaced, suffered interference rounding the home bend.
