Eagle Prince (IRE), trained by Brian Ellison, did not enter the parade ring due to being reshod in the stableyard.
Ben Robinson was unseated by Eagle Prince (IRE) on the way to post.
Having been checked by the Doctor and the Veterinary Surgeon at the start, both Robinson and Eagle Prince (IRE) were deemed fit to race.
Rounding the bend leaving the back straight, Eagle Prince (IRE), unplaced, raced awkwardly and became unbalanced on the rail before losing its position on the inside of the winner, Jo's Rainbow (IRE), but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved and that it had not improved the placing of Jo's Rainbow (IRE).
Following the race, Connor Beasley reported that Tremendous Times (GB), unplaced, ran too freely in the early stages of the race; the Veterinary Officer reported that a post-race examination of the gelding during routine testing failed to reveal any abnormalities.
Ben Robinson reported that Eagle Prince (IRE), unplaced, was denied a clear run approaching the 2 furlong marker.

THE BICKERSTAFFE HANDICAP STAKES (CLASS 4) (Jockey Club Grassroots Mile Series Qualifier) Permission was given for SUNGLASSES to wear a red hood to post and for BOWLAND PARK to wear a red hood to the start and to go early to post.
Approaching the final furlong the winner, YOUNG FIRE (FR) edged slightly left-handed, brushing MISS BRITAIN (IRE), placed fourth, which became briefly unbalanced, but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved and that it had not improved the placing of MISS BRITAIN (IRE).
Following the race, Harry Burns reported that SUNGLASSES, unplaced, ran too freely, Mia Nicholls reported that SUCELLUS, unplaced, slipped on the final bend and Ben Robinson reported that CASSY O (IRE), unplaced, missed the break and was slowly away as a result.
