Endless Intrigue did exactly what he was entitled to do at the weights when scoring here by five lengths under Matthew O Connor. The four-year-old was getting just less than a stone off all his rivals and at one stage before the turn in he looked under pressure. However the son of In The Wings, who had won previously at Leopardstown at Christmas, responded well to the urgings of his pilot in the last furlong and a half.

At that stage there was four in line, long time leader Lasse Viern, Rock Steady, Gonebeyondrecall and eventual winner Endless Intrigue who went widest of all.

Gonebeyondrecall who was victorious at Naas last month stayed on the best of the remaining three to take second and he will probably head back over hurdles next.

Lasse Viern was in front for a long way but just couldn?t maintain the lead all the way to the death and after four attempts in bumpers hurdling may now be on his agenda too.

Rock Steady just couldn?t manage to pick up having been third throughout the race and a 2m2f bumper may see him back winning while last throughout was Oran Flyer who was never really involved.
