An enquiry was held to consider interference shortly after the start involving Unique Cut (IRE), placed fifth, ridden by Robert Havlin, Touchwood, placed second, ridden by Marco Ghiani, the winner Mamillius (GB), ridden by Pat Cosgrave and Evasive Power (USA), placed fourth, ridden by Laura Pearson.
Robert Havlin was suspended for 4 days for careless riding as he allowed his mount to shift left when insufficiently clear of Ghiani taking him off his intended line, which in turn carried Cosgrave off his line and left short of room which resulted in Pearson to take a check on the inside running rail and lose her racing position.
