An enquiry was held to consider the placings in this race after interference in the final ½ furlong when the winner Bawaader (IRE), ridden by Andrew Mullen, interfered with Rosemay (FR), placed second, ridden by P J McDonald.
The Stewards considered that the interference had improved the placing of Bawaader (IRE) as Rosemay (FR) was carried left for several strides to be beaten a fast diminishing nose at the line.
The Stewards revised the placings as follows: First Rosemay (FR), Second Bawaader (IRE).
Mullen was cautioned for careless riding as he had allowed his mount to drift left without correction moving McDonald off his intended line.
Approaching the final ½ furlong, Mi Capricho (IRE), placed third, edged right away from the whip causing Fast Track Flyer (IRE), placed seventh, to ease slightly, but after viewing a recording of the incident it was found that no riding offence was involved and that it had not improved the placing of Mi Capricho (IRE).
Following the race, the Veterinary Officer reported that Jazz Magic (IRE), unplaced, had a breathing problem.
