An enquiry was held to consider the placings in this race following interference on the run to the line when the winner, Belle Anglaise (GB), ridden by Richard Kingscote, interfered with Daily Times (GB), placed second, ridden by Robert Havlin.
The Stewards considered that the interference had not improved the placing of Belle Anglaise (GB) as the winner had come from behind the second, the interference had been minimal with Daily Times (GB) losing no momentum, and there was a neck between the two horses with the winner going away at the line.
The interference found to be accidental as Belle Anglaise (GB) had edged left-handed at the same time as Daily Times (GB) had lugged right-handed, causing them to make brief contact.
