Permission was given for both Whatwouldyouknow (IRE) and Chosen World (GB) to go early to post.
The Starter reported that Dougie Costello, the rider of Mystic Dragon (GB), had originally entered the wrong stall.
The rider was interviewed and shown recordings of the incident.
Having heard his explanation the rider was cautioned.
Approaching the final furlong, Eaglesglen (GB), placed third, shifted slightly right-handed carrying Estate House (FR), placed second, off its intended line at the same time as Chosen World (GB), placed fifth, edged left-handed which resulted in Carey Street, placed eighth, being steadied when crowded for room, but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved and that it had not improved the placing of Eaglesglen (GB) or Chosen World (GB).
Also approaching the final furlong, Mr Nutherputt (IRE), unplaced, shifted quickly left-handed away from the whip causing Highest Mountain (FR), unplaced, to be checked in its run, but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved.
Approximately one furlong out, Eaglesglen (GB), placed third, lugged right-handed as its rider was pulling his whip through to correct the colt, crowding Estate House (FR), placed second, onto Chosen World (GB), placed fifth, which became unbalanced after receiving a bump, but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved.
Daniel Muscutt, the rider of Estate House (FR), placed second, was suspended for 2 days for using his whip with his arm above shoulder height inside the final furlong.
Following the race, Dougie Costello reported that Mystic Dragon (GB), unplaced, was slowly away.
