Axe Axelrod (USA), trained by Michael Dods, was declared a non-runner in this race at 9:03 due to running at Newcastle tomorrow.
Dods was fined £500 as he had made the gelding a non-runner after 9am of the day of racing, without an acceptable reason.
Permission was given for Mutawaffer (IRE) to wear a hood in the Parade Ring only.
Following the race, Ben Curtis reported that Praxidice (GB), placed eighth, was slowly away and Richard Fahey’s representative reported that Orange Blossom (GB), placed seventh, resented the kickback on this occasion.
