Inside the final furlong, G For Gabrial (IRE), placed third, edged marginally right-handed at the same time that Termonator (GB), placed second, edged marginally left-handed causing International Law (GB), placed fourth, to be eased by its rider for a couple of strides, but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved and that it had not improved the placing of either G For Gabrial (IRE) or Termonator (GB).
Following the race, Sean Davis reported that G For Gabrial (IRE) hung badly right-handed.
