The Raceday Stewards interviewed Niall Moore, rider of Good As Hell, concerning his use of the whip in the closing stage of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned, who stated that his mount was hanging but accepted that he was in breach of Regulation 10 on two counts and apologised for his actions. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that Niall Moore was in breach of both Regulation 10.3(g)(frequency) and Regulation 10.3.(h)(arm above shoulder height) and having considered his record (second offence for both), they suspended him for eight racedays.
An extended handicap steeplechase for four years old and upwards (130 = 11st 12lbs) Penalties - Winner of a steeplechase after calculation of the handicap shall carry 7lb extra for each steeplechase won.
