I was worried about the ground, it was a wee bit slower than what his best would be on,. It needed to dry as much as it did. He's won on slower but to be at his best he needs quick ground. We've had that much rain all summer you wouldn't know what way the weather was going to be. We could have a dry autumn as we've had one of the wettest Augusts we've ever had. He's fresh and well so we'll keep him going if the weather lets us.

He had good form. I was worried about the trip, I dropped him back a lot, but I said I'd take a chance,. He won well, he's a lovely horse. We might go for another hurdle, we'll see how he comes out of this. . He got boxed in at Galway and Phillip (Enright) said to me that the next day he'd take beating. He was happy with him. It was maybe a big quick for him in Galway, he's not the fastest horse. I'm just so happy he won this evening. He's a three-miler really. I was worried about the going but Johnny said he went away well and he was happy enough.
