An enquiry was held to consider two incidents of interference on the run to the line involving the winner, Romola (GB), ridden by David Egan and Sandret (IRE), placed second, ridden by Andrew Mullen.
The initial interference was considered to be accidental in that Sandret (IRE) hung quickly left before being corrected by Mullen.
In the second incident, after correcting Sandret (IRE), Mullen allowed his mount to drift left again, but without sufficient correction, causing Romola (GB) to be carried off its intended line.
Mullen was therefore cautioned for careless riding.
