Permission was given for Dromquinna (GB) to be mounted on the chute and go early to post wearing a red hood.
The Veterinary Officer reported that Atavique (GB), trained by Gay Kelleway, appeared to show evidence of possible administration of a substance via the mouth.
Kelleway’s representative, the Veterinary Officer and an Equine Welfare and Integrity Officer were interviewed.
As the Stewards could not be satisfied that Atavique (GB) had received only normal food and water by mouth on the day of the race, they withdrew Atavique (GB) and ordered the filly to be routine tested.
They referred the matter to the Head Office of the British Horseracing Authority.
