Permission was given for Top Bandit (GB) to wear a red hood to the start.
The Veterinary Officer reported that Jetoile (IRE), trained by Ryan Potter, appeared to show evidence of possible administration of a substance with a small lump present over the muscle on the left side of the gelding’s neck.
The Trainer and the Veterinary Officer were interviewed.
The trainer explained that Jetoile (IRE) had been administered a Vitamin B12 injection intramuscularly by his Veterinary Surgeon the previous day, 21 October 2021, and the Stewards were shown a copy of the stable’s medical records verifying this to be factual.
The trainer’s explanation was noted and being satisfied that the gelding had received only normal food and water by mouth on the day of racing, the Stewards allowed Jetoile (IRE) to run and ordered the gelding to be routine tested.
A report was forwarded to the Head Office of the British Horseracing Authority for further consideration.
Following the race, Adam Wedge reported that Ballybreeze (GB), unplaced, ran too freely.
