He beat Dancing City into third in the Grade 1 Albert Bartlett at the Cheltenham Festival and his vanquished foe came out and scooted home in a Grade 1 at Aintree. Stellar Story has had a break since Cheltenham and could just be the fresher of the pair. Dancing City is now rated 1lb superior and the pair race off level weights, so it should be a good scrap. Stellar Story's stablemate, Better Days Ahead, would want more rain but shouldn't be underestimated, while Backmersackme is pitched in here for shrewd connections.

To be honest we thought he was overpriced, we knew he’d love the ground and he’s as tough as old nails. He stayed very well and Sam was good and positive. We were probably a little bit fortunate that the second horse missed the last as we’ve collared him on the line, but it was brilliant.
