FormscanBy Tom Weekes - HARBOUR WIND was a smart stayer last year and this race is likely to have been mapped as a starting point ahead of another autumn campaign. Out of a smart half-sister to Ascot Gold Cup-placed Forgotten Rules, his high-class Longchamp runner-up effort in September has received many boosts with, most notably, the winner scoring a wide-margin success in the subsequent Group 1 Prix Royal-Oak. Race-fit Sunchart is capable and won a Listed race in March but might struggle to beat the selection racing from level-weights. Three-year-old London City is clearly progressive and has just 4lb to find with the selection on adjusted ratings, but nonetheless faces a much stiffer task than when winning a recent Chester handicap.
For three years old and upwards that are EBF eligibleWeights - 3-y-o 8st 12lbs 4-y-o and up 9st 9lbs Fillies allowed 5lbsPenalties - (to count from 1st July, 2023) Winner of a Listed race or a Group 3 race 3lb extra Of a Group 2 or Group 1 race 5lb extra

Quotes on Harbour Wind (IRE)
We were disappointed with the favourite obviously but delighted with this horse,. He's a lovely kind honest horse and showed it there. The second horse headed him but he battled back and showed a really good attitude. We'll go easy with him and see how he comes out of the race. We'll probably look for a nice handicap with him in a month or six weeks. He set a fair pace and there was no hiding places for anyone. After Harbour Wind (IRE) finished 1st at Cork on Wed, 17th May 2023 1m Flat Maiden Good

Quotes on Sunchart (GB)
Ben said he improved from Listowel and he'll improve again as he was green enough. He was green enough in the parade ring today as well and I think we'll give him another run in the Eyrefield Stakes,. He has a fancy entry in the Epsom Derby next year and we think a good bit of him. He'll be a better three year old and I just think he'll need another run. The Eyrefield will give him a bit more education and I think he'll need it. Hopefully he will keep going the right way and it's nice to have a horse like him. After Sunchart (GB) finished 1st at Tipperary on Sun, 6th Oct 2019 1m 1f Flat Maiden Yielding

Quotes on Vischio (IRE)
It’s absolutely brilliant for the syndicate involved — my cousin Michael and his sister Mag and the sons. She was bought for a good friend of mine John Kennedy who was fighting cancer at the time. She was second in a seller and we were able to claim her for about 8,000. She won a hurdle race just before Michael died and the current syndicate have had nothing but fun with her ever since. She started off this spring and has been at nearly every Festival since. We thought she might not go on heavy ground and it’s better she’s got on heavy ground. You could see lately she was in brilliant form and she’s really strengthened. The races have taken nothing out of her. She had a bit to find on several horses in the race today but there is always a chance in an end of season race that horses may not run to form and there was a chance to sneak some black type. She was definitely going to be in the first three under two furlongs down but to win was a dream. We are dealing with cheap, low grade horses most of the time and she was low grade too at one time. We never have more than about ten horses but luckily we’ve had horses that have been able to win races this year which makes it enjoyable. I’d say she’ll race away. I had it in my head to go to Leopardstown at Christmas for a hurdle race but I don’t know if that will happen now. She has a mark over hurdles that you’d say she might be able to compete off but we’ll have to After Vischio (IRE) finished 1st at Curragh on Sun, 5th Nov 2023 1m 4f Flat Heavy

Quotes on Esquiline (FR)
Hard to find these fillies' only mile and a half (races). We decided to come here, a track that might not have played to her strengths. She's a big, galloping filly, she stays really well. Ben kept it straightforward.Once he got by the first bend and he was outside the leader, I knew she was going to stay well. A nice filly going forward, a bit of a work-in-progress. I think she will get better with racing and hopefully she could be one for next year as well. She's a big, raw filly and I gave her one run as a two-year-old - she was very backward but this year she is getting it together. We were kind of keen to run her against fillies this time. It is nice to get the job done, she was impressive. Charlie Noell and his daughter are over (Merriebelle Irish Farm Limited), they are spending a bit of time in Ireland at the moment. He's really enjoying it. It is something different for this man, he has owned big winners in America but this place is totally different. After Esquiline (FR) finished 1st at Bellewstown on Fri, 7th Jul 2023 1m 4f Flat Maiden Yielding

Quotes on Perfect Portrait (GB)
She deserved to win that, she was fourth in a Group 3 at the Curragh last year so she had the form. Dylan said she has improved a lot from her first run (third over course and distance). He said a bit more cut in the ground would suit her and going up to a mile-and-a-half. She's a smart filly and she's going to get her black-type no problem. Quotes on London City (USA)
Ryan gave him a lovely ride. They went a nice even gallop throughout. He had a good run the first day in the Curragh and then things just didn't go right for him in Tipperary. As you can see he's a massive big horse and he's still a baby mentally, he's going to come on mentally and physically. He's a horse that we'll take baby steps with and towards the end of the year he could turn into a nice horse. He's a typical Justify, he has a great mind on him, a great action and he gets a trip very well. After London City (USA) finished 1st at Dundalk on Sat, 13th Apr 2024 1m 2f Flat Maiden Standard
