He's a nice horse, he came well recommended from Cormac (Doyle) and did it well in his point-to-point,. He's not the flashiest horse at home but no matter what we worked him with, whether it be lesser lights or better horses, he was always there within half a length of them. He just gives what's asked of him and hopefully he could have a big future. He doesn't show much at home but thankfully he does it on the track. Patrick knew the craic with him at home and felt that he'd give him a good education here today, hopefully he'll come on plenty for it. He's a lovely big horse and I'd imagine he'll go over hurdles now. He could go for a maiden hurdle at Christmas, he likes soft ground and operates on that. We'll take it from there. The Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident before the home straight involving D B Cooper, ridden by Mr H.C. Swan, placed second, Jeroboam Machin (FR), ridden by Mr P.W. Mullins, placed first, and Minella Staycation unplaced, ridden by Ms A. Budds where it appeared Minella Staycation ran short of room. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Ms. A. Budds stated that she was holding her line when she received pressure from her outside. Mr P.W. Mullins stated that he was holding his line when he felt contact from his left. Mr. H.C

Swan stated that his mount rolled in approaching the bend and felt he had did all he could to keep his racing line

Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards found Mr. H.C. Swan, was in breach of Rule 214 (careless riding), and having considered his record in this regard the Raceday Stewards suspended him for 2 racedays
