He got a dream run down the inner the whole way and we had fortune on our side. Shane is some value for his 7Ib claim. It's great to have it . he won't have it for long but we'll make use of it whilst it's there. The horse is in again on Saturday and we'll see how he is on Friday morning first. A J Martin, trainer
The Stewards met to consider a report from Chris Gordan, Turf Club Senior Security Officer, in relation to the participation at an unrecognised racemeeting of Dubawi Phantom (GB). Chris Gordan stated that he was in attendance at Dingle Horse & Pony racemeeting on 10th August 2013 when he observed the animal "Ayre's Rock" as a participant on the day when ridden by Liam Gilligan. Photographs and a video recording of "Ayre's Rock" were taken on the day. Evidence was heard from Terry Smith, Turf Club Senior Veterinary Officer who stated that he had identified "Dubawi Phantom (GB)" today from his passport. He described his markings as being very distinctive. He compared the photographs of "Ayre's Rock" as taken at Dingle and stated that in his opinion the animal as presented today at Galway was the same animal that was photographed at Dingle. P.J. Gilligan, trainer of Dubawi Phantom (GB) stated that he purchased this animal last November and in accepting that the photographs presented as taken at Dingle did show a resemblance he did not however accept that it was the same animal in both cases. Having considered the report and the evidence of all the persons concerned, the Stewards using their powers under Rule 19 ordered the withdrawal of "Dubawi Phantom (GB)" from this race and referred the matter to the Referrals Committee. Mr Steve McDonogh and Mr Michael Hillman, Acting Stewards, did not attend this enquiry. P. Townend, rider of Grey Monk trained by Henry de Bromhead, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount made a respiratory noise and was pulled up. J.L. Cullen, rider of Star Power, trained by Desmond McDonogh, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount lost his action and was pulled up.
