The Stewards enquired into possible interference after the last hurdle involving The Black Russian, ridden by B.J. Geraghty, winner and Vinniespride, ridden by D.R. Fox, placed third, where it appeared Vinniespride suffered interference. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards made no alteration to the judges' placings and took no further action. D.J. Condon, rider of Castletown Bridge, trained by Gordon Elliott, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount cut out quickly and was pulled up.
