Permission was given for Far From A Ruby (GB) to be mounted in the chute and to go early to post and for Simple Star (IRE) to wear a red hood to the start.
Joe Fanning, the rider of Braes Of Doune (GB) was unseated approximately 1 furlong after the start.
Fanning was unable to be interviewed due to being assessed by the medical staff.
After viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no other horse or rider was involved and caused by the gelding ducking quickly left away from the rail causing Fanning to be unseated.
An enquiry was held to consider interference just inside 2 furlongs out involving the winner, Shine On Brendan (IRE), ridden by Paul Mulrennan and Simple Star (IRE), unplaced, ridden by Andrew Mullen.
Mulrennan was cautioned for careless riding as he manoeuvred left when insufficiently clear, causing Simple Star (IRE) to be slightly checked.
