The Stewards enquired into an incident in the straight involving Lustown Baba, ridden by N.M. Crosse, Not Now Zeb, ridden by J.M. Sheridan, and Gold Brocade, ridden by W.J. Lee, where it appeared that Gold Brocade stumbled. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards found that the incident was caused by accidental interference and took no further action
W.J. Lee, rider of Gold Brocade trained by K.J. Condon, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount clipped a heel one and a half furlongs from the finish.
