It was a very good performance by horse and rider,. HRI and Cork racecourse deserve to be commended for putting on the meeting so quickly again. They were unlucky with the sheer volume of rain that feel last weekend. New Phase probably doesn't get the credit he deserves. He's a very good horse and the older he gets the better he's handling the soft ground. Today was the plan and we hadn't looked beyond that. He jumped well. D K Weld, trainer
