An enquiry was held following a report from the Veterinary Officer that Amaysmont (GB), trained by Richard Fahey, was a gelding and not a colt as published in the racecard.
The trainer’s representative was interviewed and explained that Amaysmont (GB) had been gelded by the owners as a yearling, but this information had not been passed on to the trainer when the horse went into the yard.
His explanation was noted and the Stewards ordered a report to be forwarded to the Head Office of the British Horseracing Authority.
An enquiry was held into the running and riding of Hartswood (GB) ridden by Connor Murtagh which appeared to be tenderly handled in the final furlong of the race.
The rider was interviewed and shown recordings of the race and the Veterinary Officer reported a post-race examination failed to reveal any abnormalities.
The rider stated his instructions were to get the colt travelling in mid division and ride him as he found him.
He added that inside the final furlong he found himself running onto the heels of Ainsdale (GB) and was reluctant to switch right as he was concerned about causing interference to Dilithium (FR) on his inside.
His explanation was noted.
Following the race, David Allan reported that Jerbourg (GB), unplaced, ran too free.
