The Stewards enquired into an incident over one furlong from the finish involving See You Mush (GB), ridden by D.W. O'Connor, unplaced, Baby Bellini, ridden by D.E. Sheehy, placed sixth, Ragtime Red, ridden by S.P. Davis, placed second and Vanderbilt, ridden by G.M. Ryan, placed fifth, where it appeared that Ragtime Red made a manoeuvre inwards and caused interference. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were satisfied that S.P. Davis had caused interference by riding carelessly and suspended him for 1 raceday having taken his previous record into consideration. Bernard Caldwell accompanied G.M. Ryan at this enquiry S.M. Crosse, rider of Love To Rock trained by Adrian Paul Keatley, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount hung right in the straight.
