See also » Moores-confidence-in-Please-well-founded I would have been disappointed if she had been beaten now. She has a gorgeous attitude, so it is nice to get that. It was a terrible messy race, so it doesn't tell us very much. We will probably go for black-type after this as I think she will be better suited by a fast pace. Noel said it was the slowest race he ever rode in around here, so he hit the front sooner than he wanted to. She was looking around a bit. I wouldn't write off putting her in a maiden flat race, in a two-mile one somewhere like Killarney before the ground goes. We'll see from there but it is nice to have that under her belt. She just didn't get the run of the race (on debut at Thurles). She could have won that race in hindsight. Then the lockdown came and she just got a little setback earlier in the season. She has had a great prep since and never did a bad bit of work. She has a lovely attitude and eats up, she is a happy mare. She has a nice pedigree and could go to Punchestown. A L T Moore, trainer
The Stewards interviewed Mr J.J. O'Neill, rider of The Mean Queen, concerning his use of the whip in the latter stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who acknowledged that he had been excessively frequent with his use of the whip. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards found the rider in breach of Reg.10.3(g)(frequency) and having taken his record into account suspended him for four race days
