Wachman 1, 2 as Mironica impresses
They are two smart fillies. We will see how they come out of this and how they progress. They have plenty of options. Billy gave the winner a lovely ride, nice and gentle and Seamie did the same. They are two nice fillies going forward. The ground was quick enough for the winner but the other one seems to go on anything. The winner travelled well, got there too soon but had plenty left.
Dawn proves far too strong for Fishery rivals
He is a smart horse. We have a choice of races for him now (at Royal Ascot). I was originally thinking of the Chesham but Kevin said he could go anywhere and when he says that they can go anywhere. Paddy Spain (his joint owner) is a very patient man. The dam was quiet good too. She had a fall on a gravel path and had a lot of chips in her joint and we could never get her right. We didn't get the breeding right with her at first but I still had the confidence to send her to a Derby winner.
No Greek default at Naas as Canyon scores
He is a lovely little horse and that was his third win. He is very genuine. He has been leading the 2yo's at home and he does everything we ask of him. That type of trip over six or seven furlongs suits him. He is a genuine horse and that was a good, tough performance.
Possible lands a gamble for O'Brien & Dawson
It's nice to get a bracket into her. I'm glad they moved this race when it was abandoned at Cork. You can see with the number of runners they are few and far between. She will be kept at the same racket and five furlongs is her trip. She might get an easy six furlongs but it would be pushing it. It's hard enough for 3yo sprinters as they have to start taking on the older horses.
Weld has high hopes for his Princess
That was a nice performance by her and she is a lovely filly. We won the Ribblesdale with her dam and I think that is the logically way to go with her. It was always in my mind to come here and then go for the Ribblesdale. She is a very nice progressive filly and I hope she might be as good as Blue Wind, who this race is named after. She won the Epsom and Irish Oaks for me. Epsom might be a bit premature for this filly and I think it is the right strategy to go for the Ribblesdale.
Aga Khan 1, 2 as Mizani just beats Handazan
Erin is the Man as gamble is landed
He is improving and he got cut (gelded) during the winter and it made all the difference. He had a good pedigree but he needed time and gelding. We will see what he (the handicapper) makes of him now and we will take our time with him. He will improve with the run.
33/1 shocker as Suzette beats Susie in the last
I'm obviously delighted. The owners, breeders are lovely people. She is a half-sister to a good filly I had a few years ago called Perfect Polly. The owners have been very patient. I always thought a bit of her but she was just took a bit of time. Chris gave her a great patient ride and she is still a bit green. We will see how she comes out of this and go from there.
