Pull The Lever (IRE), trained by Dominic Ffrench-Davis, was late in the paddock as Rob Hornby, who had won the previous race, was slightly late weighing out after doing post-race interviews.

An enquiry was held to consider interference rounding the first bend involving Rogue Storm (IRE), placed third, ridden by Connor Planas, RECKON I’M HOT, placed fourth, ridden by Rhys Clutterbuck, and Man On A Mission (GB), unplaced, ridden by Robert Havlin.
