The Stewards fined John W. Nicholson, trainer, ?350 for lodging a passport in respect of Nora Batt, in which the vaccinations did not conform with the provisions of Rule 91. The Stewards allowed the horse to run on receipt of the trainer's written assurance that the vaccinations were in order. The Stewards informed M.Halford, trainer that Cafe Nervosa, would have to be recertified before being declared to run from stalls again. C.R. King, rider of Syndex trained by Noel G. Hynds, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount was slow away from stalls. Adrian Brendan Joyce, trainer of Ken's Sam's, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his charge was lame post race.
