An enquiry was held to consider two incidents of interference in this race.
In the first incident, shortly after the road crossing, Princess Florence (IRE), placed seventh, ridden by Cieren Fallon, interfered with Spirit Of Lucerne (IRE), placed third, ridden by Grace McEntee, which in turn interfered with Forty Four Sunsets (FR), unplaced, ridden by Seamus Cronin.
The interference was found to be accidental as Princess Florence (IRE) had edged only marginally left-handed before being corrected making brief contact with Spirit Of Lucerne (IRE) which was running keenly and in turn interfered with Forty Four Sunsets (FR) against the rail.
In the second incident, approaching the bend, Aquarius, placed fifth, ridden by Theodore Ladd, interfered with Tarrzan (IRE), placed second, ridden by Liam Jones, which interfered with Grey Hare (GB), placed eighth, ridden by Joey Haynes, which in turn interfered with Forty Four Sunsets (FR).
Ladd was suspended for 4 days for careless riding as he had allowed his mount to shift left in order to get cover in behind Princess Florence (IRE) and, as a consequence, Tarrzan (IRE) was shifted off its intended line causing it to make contact with Grey Hare (GB) which in turn made contact with Forty Four Sunsets which had to be checked significantly against the rail.
Following the race, the Veterinary Officer reported that Tarrzan (IRE), placed second, had lost his left- hind shoe, Cieren Fallon reported that Princess Florence (IRE), placed seventh, ran too free early on, and Joey Haynes reported that Grey Hare (GB), placed eighth, suffered interference.
