Permission was given for Presenting Yeats (IRE) to wear a red hood to post.

An enquiry was held to consider the placings in this race after interference approaching and after the final hurdle involving the winner Presenting Yeats (IRE), ridden by Paddy Brennan and JEN’S BOY, placed second, ridden by Nico de Boinville.

The Stewards considered that the interference had improved the placing of Presenting Yeats (IRE) as approaching the final hurdle, Presenting Yeats (IRE) started to shift left-handed intimidating JEN’S BOY off it’s intended line.

Furthermore, after jumping the final hurdle Presenting Yeats (IRE) continued to shift left-handed giving a significant bump to JEN’S BOY and then further lent onto JEN’S BOY resulting in JEN’S BOY making contact with the rail and a birch upright shortly before the line.

The combination of these factors had impacted the momentum of JEN’S BOY with the winning distance a head.

The Stewards revised the placings as follows: First – JEN’S BOY; Second Presenting Yeats (IRE); Third – Our Three Sons (IRE); Fourth – Get The Appeal (IRE).

Brennan was suspended for 2 days for careless riding as he failed to take corrective action to prevent his mount from shifting left-handed causing interference to JEN’S BOY.

Following the race Alexandra Dunn reported that KAPATALISTE (FR), which was pulled up, was never travelling due to the step up in grade and the Veterinary Officer reported that Presenting Yeats (IRE), placed second, lost it's right hind shoe and Mister Allegro (GB), placed fifth, was showing signs of post race heat stress.
