The Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident shortly after the start involving Itsalonglongroad (GB), ridden by S. O'Callaghan, placed third, I Am Rocco (GB), ridden by P.T. Enright, unplaced, Prince Of Air (FR), ridden by S.D. Torrens, placed fifth, and Lakomet Of Saints (FR), ridden by D.E. Mullins, unplaced, where it appeared several horses ran short of room on the run to the first bend. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. S
O'Callaghan stated that he lined up wide and felt that he was just riding the bend until he heard a shout and corrected immediately. P.T.
