An enquiry was held to consider interference approaching the first bend when the winner, Recall The Show (GB), ridden by Pat Cosgrave, interfered with Lady Quickstep (IRE), placed fifth, ridden by George Bass, which in turn interfered with Street Parade (GB), placed fourth, ridden by William Carson.
Cosgrave was cautioned for careless riding as he had allowed Recall The Show (GB) to shift left-handed when insufficiently clear, causing Bass to have to take a check on a free-running Lady Quickstep (IRE), which in turn caused Carson to steady Street Parade (GB).
