The Stewards fined Diarmuid P. Ryan, trainer, ?350 for lodging a passport in respect of Tsarina Sophia, in which the vaccinations did not conform with the provisions of Rule 91. The Stewards ordered the withdrawal of Tsarina Sophia in accordance with the provisions of Rule 90

The Stewards requested a report from Philip Fenton, trainer as to the apparent improvement in form of Secret Cargo, placed first, as compared with its recent form. Mr. Fenton reported that his charge has been inconsistent, having run well at Wexford on his penultimate start disappointed at Naas the last day for no apparent reason. He added the drop back in trip to 2 mile today from 2 mile 3 furlongs on his previous run may have helped to bring about the apparent improvement in form. Having considered the report, the Stewards noted the explanation offered.
