Upon leaving the stalls, Roccozaam (IRE), placed seventh, jumped sharply right-handed, badly bumping Sterling Knight (GB), placed second; Deacs Delight (GB), placed fourth; and Beauzon (GB), placed third, which had jumped awkwardly and If You Can Dream (GB), placed fifth, but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved.
An enquiry was held to consider interference shortly after the start involving Amalfi Gem (IRE), placed eighth, ridden by Callum Hutchinson; If You Can Dream (GB), placed fifth, ridden by Adam Kirby; and Roccozaam (IRE), placed seventh, ridden by Angus Villiers.
The interference was found to be accidental in that Villiers had manoeuvred Roccozaam (IRE) legitimately to the left when sufficiently clear of If You Can Dream (GB) but the latter was influenced and moved slightly left-handed, tightening up Amalfi Gem (IRE) on the rail.
Shortly after turning in, Adaaydreambeliever (GB), placed sixth, was briefly short of room between If You Can Dream (GB), placed fifth, and Deacs Delight (GB), placed fourth, but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved and that it had not improved the placing of either If You Can Dream (GB) or Deacs Delight (GB).
An enquiry was held to consider interference approaching the final furlong involving the winner, Flash Betty (GB), ridden by Rose Dawes, and Sterling Knight (GB), placed second, ridden by William Buick.
As a 7lb claiming apprentice, Dawes was accompanied in the enquiry by a senior rider.
Dawes was suspended for 2 days for careless riding as she allowed her mount to hang right-handed without timely correction, taking Sterling Knight (GB) off its intended racing line.
Following the race, David Probert reported that Adaaydreambeliever (GB), placed sixth, hung right handed.
