Permission was given for My Bubba (GB) to go early to post An enquiry was held to consider interference shortly after the start involving Vincenzo Coccotti (USA), placed second, ridden by Joshua Bryan, Essential (GB), unplaced, ridden by Connor Murtagh, Catapult (GB), unplaced, ridden by Josephine Gordon, and Billiebrookedit (IRE), unplaced, ridden by Rossa Ryan.
Bryan was cautioned for careless riding for manoeuvring his mount left-handed when insufficiently clear rail causing Essential (GB) to shy away.
It was found that Catapult (GB) and BILLIBROOKEDIT (IRE) had not suffered interference.
Joshua Bryan, the rider of Vincenzo Coccotti (USA), drawn 9, had appeared not to keep straight from the stalls.
After being interviewed and shown recordings of the incident, the rider was suspended for 1 day.
Following the race, Connor Murtagh reported that Essential (GB), unplaced, jumped left-handed and lost action; the Veterinary Officer reported that a post-race examination of the gelding failed to reveal any abnormalities.
Rossa Ryan reported that BILLIBROOKEDIT (IRE), unplaced, was denied a clear run.
