The winner, Uno Mas (GB), appeared to show improved form compared with its previous run at TAUNTON on 29 February 2024 where the gelding finished fifth of ten runners, beaten by 54 lengths.
It was noted that Christian Williams could offer no explanation for the gelding’s improved form.
Uno Mas (GB) was routine tested.
On the bend leaving the back straight, Larkfield Lusive (IRE), placed third, shifted marginally left- handed, brushing and briefly unbalancing Ismael (FR), which was pulled up, which in turn tightened Brandt (IRE), placed fifth, for room against the rail, but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved and that it had not improved the placing of Larkfield Lusive (IRE).
