I must admit I thought he was beaten but I thought he got a lovely ride - Ian did exactly what we asked. the horse didn't do anything wonderful and credit must got to the jockey. The Stewards enquired into an incident on the turn to the straight involving Our Kieran, ridden by Lynda Tara Masterson, and King Of Oriel, ridden by I.T. Queally, where it appeared Our Kieran ran short of room on the rails and was forced to check. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned and from R. Donohue, master of Lynda Tara Masterson. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards advised I.T. Queally to ride with more care in future. The Stewards fined Donal Kinsella, ?350 for failing to lodge a passport in respect of winning horse King Of Oriel, in accordance with the provisions of Rule 90(vi). Written assurance was given by or on behalf of the Trainer that the Passport would be forwarded to Horse Racing Ireland within the next 3 working days for verification with the markings and microchip number taken by the Turf Club Veterinary Officer.
