Lynams' newcomer takes opener at 16/1
it was a good ride by Wayne and she did it well and took advantage of all the allowances. I don't know what sort of race it was but that will keep the owner happy!
Drop in trip works out for Weld's Morselle
she's tough and genuine. The drop back in trip was a little bit of a gamble but she showed plenty of pace in Dundalk. She really wants seven furlongs and that's why she won, because she outstayed the other filly. She's won two now and we'll see what the handicapper does. Long-term you'd love to get a little bit of black-type with her later in the year.
Inspired gamble highlights Bunyan's abilities
she's a filly that showed us a lot early last year but she was weak so we left her off for the summer. Her half-brother Grey Danube is a winner of six but is barely a work horse for her and she'd beat him half-way up the gallop. She'll go for a premier handicap on Derby weekend for three-year-old fillies and up. She'll go for black-type after that all being well. Leigh was very good on her, as he always is.
Fashion moves Oliver's season Forward
Billy gave her a great ride and she's still very inexperienced and ran about a bit when she hit the front. She did it well though. I'm delighted as we've had a dreadful start to the year. There were just a few issues that we have sorted out.
Oxx maiden winner to step up to Stakes level
Kinsella trains second winner in two days
I must admit I thought he was beaten but I thought he got a lovely ride - Ian did exactly what we asked. the horse didn't do anything wonderful and credit must got to the jockey. We asked him to drop out and not show him until three furlongs out. He didn't really make any decent ground until the last furlong.
