The Stewards noted that approaching six furlongs out, GREY D’ARS (FR), which was later pulled up, was badly hampered by Pioneering (IRE), due to the gelding suffering an injury and therefore having to be pulled up, but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved.
Approximately ½ a furlong out, the winner Fitwood Star (GB), drifted quickly left-handed before being corrected by its rider, causing the rider of Samille (IRE), placed third, to have to momentarily ease, but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved and that it had not improved the placing of Fitwood Star (GB).
Following the race, James Doyle reported that Ritchie Valens (IRE), which started second favourite and finished fifth, hung right-handed throughout.
Jim Crowley reported that GREY D’ARS (FR), which was pulled up, suffered interference approaching six furlongs out and moved poorly thereafter; the Veterinary Officer reported that a post-race examination of the gelding failed to reveal any abnormalities.
