The Stewards received a request from Paul John Gilligan, trainer of Getalife, to substitute the nominated rider L.P

Gilligan, with Jack George Gilligan, as the nominated rider was unable to make the weight. Having considered the evidence, the Stewards allowed the substitution on this occasion. Furthermore, the Stewards were satisfied that L.P. Gilligan was in breach of Rule 198(vii) and having considered his record, they suspended him for 3 racedays and advised him to liaise with Dr. Jennifer Pugh, I.H.R.B Chief Medical Officer, for advice in relation to his weight.
