LUDO’S LANDING (IRE) wore earplugs which were removed at the start.
An enquiry was held to consider the placings in this race after interference approximately 1 furlong out, involving the winner, LUDO’S LANDING (IRE), ridden by Franny Norton and Prince Nabeel (IRE), placed second, ridden by Clifford Lee.
The Stewards considered that the interference had not improved the placing of LUDO’S LANDING (IRE) as the interference and momentum lost by Prince Nabeel (IRE) was less than the winning margin of ½ a length.
The interference was found to be accidental as LUDO’S LANDING (IRE) hung sharply right with his rider taking all reasonable steps to prevent the interference.
In the final furlong, Platinum Girl (GB), placed third, hung sharply left giving LUDO’S LANDING (IRE) a bump and moving it off it’s intended line, but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that there was no riding offence involved.
Following the race, Daniel Tudhope reported that Finn Russell (IRE), placed sixth, ran too freely and didn’t handle the bend.
Jason Hart reported that Disputed (GB), unplaced, was slowly away.
