The winner, Bafana Blue (GB), appeared to show an improvement in form compared with its previous run at Newcastle on 9 March 2021, where the gelding finished last of six, beaten 41¾ lengths.
It was noted that Maurice Barnes’ representative could offer no explanation for Bafana Blue (GB)’s improved form.
The gelding was routine tested.
Following the race, David Bass reported that Station Master (IRE), which was pulled up, was never travelling.
