7.10 6f. 3-y-o13 Ran Shamrock Bar Seatown Place H´cap (Rated 45-65) of €9,000.00 3-y-o
1st - €6,219.00, 2nd - €1,530.00, 3rd - €720.00, 4th - €450.00 13 Ran A memorable day for 10-pound claiming jockey Julie Burke who partnered her first career winner on the first meeting at which the 10-pound claimers ban was lifted. The 19-year-old was aboard the Tom Cleary trained Miranda's Girl who hit the front two-furlongs out and was a snug winner of this 45-65 rated handicap.
Having appeared to go off at a good gallop three of the more prominent runners filled the first five places with the winner running off a two pound ease in the handicap since her last run at Tipperary a week ago.
Miranda's Girl was one of three runners who were on their toes before hand, with Little Annie who beat just two home and third place Yodollah getting a bit excited in the preliminaries. The latter made the running and may just have used to much energy and lacked a bit of bite at the business end but maybe capable of winning a race of similar quality.
Likewise Donard Lodge finished late to claim second and being a course and distance winner it would be no surprise to see this Pat Martin trained filly oblige at a further date.
Of the rest Five Satins tracked the leaders and just couldn't pick up when required and Newpark Style was one of the runners up there early but he is struggling to find a suitable opportunity.
An extended handicap for three yrs old only rated 45-65 Penalties - (after calculation of the handicap) A winner shall carry 5lb extra for each race won
