The performance of Prince Alex (GB), which started favourite and finished fifth, beaten by 6 lengths, was considered.
Michael Bell’s representative’s explanation that the gelding was unsuited by the Good, Good to Firm in places ground on this occasion and would prefer a slower surface, was noted.

Following the race, Ryan Tate reported that Bodyline (IRE), placed fourth, was slowly away, Tom Marquand reported that Just In Time (GB), unplaced, stopped quickly and the Veterinary Officer reported that a post-race examination revealed the gelding had an irregular heartbeat.
