The Stewards interviewed D.G. Hogan, rider of Macgiloney, where it appeared the rider had used his whip after passing the winning post. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned, who stated that his head was down in a driving position and he was unaware of his actions at the time. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were of the opinion that the rider was in breach of Regulation 10.3(d) in that he had used his whip after the winning post had been reached. Having taken his previous record in this regard into account, the Stewards cautioned D.G. Hogan on this occasion
D.J. McInerney, rider of Indian Air trained by P.M.Lynch, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his saddle slipped and he pulled his mount up thereafter
John Patrick Ryan, trainer of Brooks Falls, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his charge was found to be injured post race.
